Draymond Green professes his love for Oakland. While NFL owners voted overwhelmingly to approve their move to Las Vegas, the Raiders will still call Oakland home for at least one more lame-duck season, so count Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green among football fans who would prefer the Bay Area didn’t show up for games in 2017. Presumably a Detroit Lions fan, the Saginaw native — who once played a spring football game for Michigan State University — was asked after a win over the Houston Rockets about his thoughts on the NFL endorsing Raiders owner Marc Davis’ plan to move from Oakland to Las Vegas in the near future.
The former home of the Detroit Lions will be demolished. A judge approved a deal Tuesday between the city of Pontiac and the owner of the Pontiac Silverdome to get rid of the stadium. The Detroit Free Press (http://on.freep.com/2neZRbq ) says Triple Investment Group has until June 9 to apply for a permit and announce the date of destruction.
The Detroit Lions signed free agent guard T.J. Lang to a three-year contract. Lang reportedly will receive $28.5 million with $19 million guaranteed. Lang spent his first eight NFL seasons with the Green Bay Packers and was a Pro Bowl selection last season for the first time.
