Former Hokie, Nick Becton, Signs With Lions

Former Virginia Tech tackle, Nick Becton, has signed a deal to play with the Detroit Lions according to Ian Rapoport. Becton entered the N.F.L. in 2013 as an undrafted free agent. He originally signed with the San Diego, but has made stops in New York, Chicago, and New Orleans in his brief career. Between shuffling from the practice squad to the active squad, Becton has had trouble sticking a permanent gig. Becton certainly has the size at 6’6”, but was a bit of a late bloomer at Virginia Tech. He didn’t get his first start until his senior year.
